Historic Exceisior Ciub Has A New Owner The Historic Excelsior Club was recently purchased by Charlotte Civil Rights Attorney, James E. Ferguson, III. Ferguson said that he is proud to be the new owner of the historic club, which has been a gathering place for African- American leaders and politically-interested opinion-makers since 1944. People like Nat King Cole and Sam Cooke have performed there. The Excelsior is said to be the oldest and long running black night club in the Southeast. In 1986, the club was named a historic landmark. Recently, the Excelsior had a passing of the baton ceremony, which honored the past owner. Rep. Winston-Salem, NC 27103 New Website Helps You Find The Church Of Your Dreams PraisePreview.com Life is full of hidden treasures PraisePreview.com is proving itself to be a timely and updated mode to begin such a search. Birthed through the experiences of co-founders Ron Lewis and Earl McLaurin, Jr., this web site was developed to provide those who have recently relocated, or those who travel frequently with a tool to learn about churches in a specific area. Although birthed out of a need t locate, the services provided by this faith-based web site goes far beyond that of a search tool! It provides a marketing instrument to the established congregation as well as the congregation that may have just begun its spiritual growth. Believers can be guided to a church that meets an individual need by accessing the web site. PraisePreview.com allows congregations such as Dr. Rudolph McKissick, Jr. and Bethel Baptist Institution Church located in Jacksonville, Florida to present themselves to the world allowing any visitor to seek a church by size and location, ministry focus mission statement, church history, and/or leader biographical information. A PraisePreview.com profile also includes amenities offered by that church as well as a calendar feature to announce events. Joining PraisePreview.com at a minimal cost allows a ministry to manage their site from any location; it further allows the opportunity to change content 24 hours a day. PraisePreview.com member Dr. Leonzo D. Lynch and the Ebenezer Baptist Church of Charlotte, NC have found the site to be a complete service package that offers users who, what, when and where in one resourceful location. Shay George; chief producer director of Pope Broadcasting Company, a 24-hour cable Christian network based in Nevynan, Georgia hailed accolades to PraisePreview.com describing the site as a needed service with a wonderful vision. PraisePreview.com offers a service that bridges a previous gap in locating a Christian home away from home and addresses the need of finding a new church home without having to physically visit each location. Elizabeth Baptist Church of Atlanta, Georgia where Craig L. Oliver is Pastor is also a client of the service. Benjamin Bryan, Director of Sales and Marketing for Elizabeth Baptist Church has found the service to be excellent, offering his, as well as other churches an updated manner of exposure. As 1 began my research for this article, I found the site to be user friendly with an abundance of information for one who is seeking knowledge of ministries. One of the more striking features of PraisePreview.com 1 noticed, is that a church, regardless of its congregation or staff size, is given the same advantages. Each ministry is in a central location to provide information that promotes the ministry to millions, minimal membership cost, a fine searchable events calendar and 24-hour access to the account. What a wonderful discovery to have found an outlet where ministries can connect with the world to give an introspect view of what that ministry is all about. Be sure to pass on the discovery of a newly found treasure PraisePreview.com. 'When business was good he said he didn't need to advertise!'
