(February 21, 2006) - Dr. Gary Green, president of Forsyth Technical Community College, has announced that Dr. Conley Winebarger has been named vice president of Instructional Services. “We are pleased and fortunate to have Dr. Winebarger as vice president for Instructional Sen/ices at Forsyth Tech. Fie brings an impressive background to the position and will lead the instructional side of the college,” said Dr. Green. Dr. Winebarger earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees in industrial education and technology, with a minor in community college educa tion from Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C. and his Educational Specialist and Doctor of Education degrees in curriculum instruction from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Fla. Prior to joining Forsyth Tech, Dr. Winebarger was vice president of Academic and Student Services for Mountain Empire Community College in Big Stone Gap, Va. Fie led the development of several new degree programs including teacher education, geographical information systems, medical office coding and procedures, e-com- merce, polysomnography and emergency medical services. Fie has also developed partnerships with regional four-year institutions to provide transfer and guaranteed admissions programs for graduates.
