The AC Phoenix May 2006 Page 17 First Horizon’s “Triple Play” Supports Breast Cancer Awareness First Horizon to Sponsor Race for the Core, tSreensboro Grasshoppers, and Carolina Dynamo May 6 GREENSBORO, NO, April 24, 2006 - On Saturday, May 6, First Horizon, a growing player in the residential and commercial bank ing league will dominate the field with a “Triple Play” of corporate sponsorships across the Triad. First Horizon, a company with a well-established history of supporting local causes in its banking communities, already took the Triad field, capturing naming rights to the recently opened First Horizon Park, a multi-use entertain ment stadium in Greensboro. First Horizon’s Triad Triple Play commitment will begin with joining other local organizations and community members for a morning sponsorship of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation NC Triad Race for the Cure at the Winston-Salem Old Salem Visitor’s Center. It will continue with a “double play” title sponsorship of the Carolina Dynamo men’s and women’s soccer games beginning at 5:30 pm at Bryan Park in Greensboro. And, it will be topped off at 7:00 pm at First Horizon Park for a home game between the Greensboro Grasshoppers and the Hickory Crawdads. Activities at each event will be geared toward public education and the eradication of breast cancer as a life- threatening illness. For every run scored by the Greensboro Grasshoppers and every goal scored by the Carolina Dynamo, First Horizon will donate $100 to Friends for an Earlier Breast Cancer Test. In an effort to promote earlier, pre-tumor detection that could prevent invasive surgeries, treatments, and dramatically increase survival rates. First Horizon will partner with Friends for an Earlier Breast Cancer Test to distribute information about the early detection of breast cancer. Friends for an Earlier Breast Cancer Test is the nation’s only breast cancer charity focused exclusively on supporting research for new discoveries of an innovative biological test to detect breast cancer earlier.
