Colos- sians 3:2.5, Weymouth Transla- | tion. A very slight acquaintance with the physical universe of which we Are a part convinces us that order and dependaDility are everywhere in evidence. This principle of recognizing the laws of the physical universe and cooperating with them ..en ables us to build constructiveh! and to add to the comfort and conveniences of life. However, when we ignore any of the laws of the physical uni verse and through ignorance, carelessness or foolish defiance we pay the penalt) for such an attitude. If we are indifferent to the laws of proper eating for any cause, we pay the penalt) in ill effects to our body. What is true in the physical life about us is equally true in the spiritual universe of which we are a vital and essential part. When we know and cooperate uith the great spiritual laws of life we find the great secret of life and gain a peace within in spite of all the confusion and frustration about us. The fact that we ignore any spiritual law does not affect the verity or valid ity of the law but we pay the penalty for such foolishness. \Ae never break any of God's laws: they remain unaffected by our conduct. However, we break our selves on them if we fail to recog nize and cooperate with them. Rev. T. M. Grant Minister First Methodist Church, Rocky Mount, N. C.
