Broadening fields of ef fort and high endeavor will open where we may find play for our particular aptitudes. The profes- their gates of service to those who knock with the right hand of brotherhood and unselfishness. If we do not shut our ears to the cries of distress there will come clearly through the confusion a particular summons; an oppor tunity for each man and woman of fulfillment and the measure less satisfaction that comes from this. If we are to answer completely, we shall have to forfeit ease. Taskes worthy of effort are stern in their demands, but we will know the stimulus of the striving and capacities developed to their fullest extent. Granted, then, that a life of achievement and action is no level road, let us determine to live our lives each day as we would climb a steep mountain, slowly and steadily, giving an oc casional glance toward the top to keep the goal in view, pausing often along the way to marvel at each new scene; taking time out to laugh when we may and lend a hand when necessary to a fel low climber who finds the going too rough; relishing the exciting challenge that each turn of the trail brings and stopping for mo ments of sincere prayer when the clouds of uncertainty darken and the winds of circumstance blow. May we travel humbly, cheer fully with fine awareness of all about us confident that the breath of the visit from the peak in all its glory will be a worthy climax to the long,'steep journey of the years.
