SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!
WDNCASC
AprU the 8th was the date of
the N. C. Association of Student
Councils Convention. The conven
tion was held at Ashbrook High.
At the convention elections were
held for officers of the western
district. Our own president Lynne
Triminal is running for secretary.
Workshops and discussion groups
were held. In the discussion groups
problems that student councils
have were brought up at these con
ventions and all schools benefit
from the meeting.
APRIL 22, SAT.
MAKE UP DAY
It was snowing rather heavily
when everyone woke up. Everyone
was shouting “No school!” But
then after it started melting every
one got the scare that they usu
ally get. When will the day they
missed be made up? Some thought
it would be during Easter, others
thought it would be added onto
the end of the year, but the school
board said it would be held on Sat.,
April 22. So it looks like you won’t
be able to stay home and watch
Tom and Jerry that day.
IT’S SPRING!
Flowers are blooming
Birds are singing
Butterflies are flying
Spring is springing
Trees are budding
Bees are humming
Grass is growing
Spring is coming
Puppies are playing
Love is near
Clouds are floating
Spring is here
People are lazy
Winter is past
Skies are blue
It.s spring, at last!

NEW CARPET

our great Grier Jr. High.
PICTURES TAKEN
(Say Cheese!)
On January 27, 1972 pictures
were taken at Grier Jr. High.
Students were called to the audi
torium by homerooms. The ninth
grade went first and finished a
little after ten o’clock. The eighth
grade came next. Last but not
least was the seventh grade. All
students are fairly surprised that
they did not break the camera.
Pictures will arrive in about three
weeks.
