Well, hey ya’ll! Whatcha doin’?
Never mind. I’ll answer that question.
That’s right — I’m IMA SNOOP. Because
even Ima cannot be everywhere all the
time, I have a helper this year. Her
name is Irma Snoop, You’d better
not do anything you wouldn’t want
everybody to know about, cause
Ima and Irma together see all, hear
all, and most important, tell all!
It’s been said that freshmen
are ’’green”, but I don’t think this
batch is so ’’green”. Vftiat do you
think about that, Robert Jones?
How about you, Carlton Overby? Do
you boys' think Fran Hill and Jane
Austin Cunningham are ’’Green”? Bradley
Carroll has been a good target, too.
Now Bradley, did you think you could
avoid me? Seems he’s quite popular
with the girls. I hear he’s with a
different one everytime he’s seen.
Is that right, Bette Barnes? Maybe
Page Perkinson or Kathy Reese will
know! By the way, did you ever collect
your rainchebk from Margy, Bradley?
Better watch out! Many of the
sophomores have their driver’s
license, Beth Wells is one to watch
out for. Then, of course, there are the
careful ones, like Charles Avera, who
signals after turning every corner!
So Candy Baker reigns as our
Homecoming Queen, We’re all proud of
you Candy aren’t we. Hunter?
There have been a few hayrides
this year in our town. Have you ever
heard of a hayride in a car without
any hay? Julia Gilbert, Bobby Benson,
and Chip Barnes think it’s loads of
fun!
Eddie Sutton, do you really start
fights with Margy Hinnant just so you
can make up with her! Really, Eddie!
She is a cute girl, but do you think
that’s necessary?
Is it true that our basketball
team is working out ball plays just for
the Garner game? I heard that Joe
Lansinger has worked out for a certain
Garner cheerleader!
You know, we should pay attention
in every class (especially algebra)
and not be writing notes. They sometimes
get intercepted by the wrong people,
don’t they, Janet and Hope?
Is Jane Kate Brown playing baseball"
We keep hearing ’’three strikes”, and
you’re out” from her. One of Jane Kate’s
friends, June Smith, has been acting
’’Young” lately, too — or so I hear.
The American history teacher in
room 23 has been seen with a black eye.
He says his brother did it while demon
strating judo. Likely story for a
bachelor! I wouldn’t want to mention
any names, but his friends call him
Caesar, don’t they, Mr. Floyd?
I hear we had a decorating
committee assigned to Selma High School
for Homecoming, They were even nice
enough to do a new paint job for our
neighbors. These boys are quite modest,
though, and would rather not be given
credit for the job. Now don’t you worry
Jim, or you either, Ragsdales — I
won’t tell a soul!
Until next time, remember,
be watching you !
Faithfully,
Irma and Ima Snoop
