Food Department have served over
fifty moali. There has been a great
improvement in serving the meals
because the students had a chance
lo observe .ind learn while one
group was preparing the meal
During the Christmas Holidays,
several of the classes gave Christ
mas Parlies and exchanged gifts
.imong themselves.
P.m-ntly, home new equipment
w.'is added to the Home Economics
Department. It Is; two cabinets, two
sets of dishes, .ind a lace table
cloth. This equipment has added a
great deal of attractiveness to the
department, also, they give aid in
preparing meab.
Shortly after school opened, the
cl'isses wore organized into family
groups. Since then, the students
h.nve le.arned how’ lo work with
each other also in group work.

the 23.400-ton tanker, the SS Crow
Wing, built in record-breaking
time by all-Negro craftsmen at the
Alabama Dry Dock and Shipbuild
ing Company, made its maiden trip
into the Mobile River.
The tanker was launched 6i days
after its keel was laid, smashing
the record of the Pinto Is^nd
Shipyard by one day.
