Morgan was paced by Carl Irvin with 19 points, while Crittenden with 16 points scored al most hall of his team's 35 points. Ford placed Morgan in the lead early in the first half with two shots to make the score 4-0. The half ended 32-17. In the second half Mor gan awoke from its sluggishness and began to really play boll. The game ended with Morgan in the lead 60- 35. This was Morgan’s second win over Virginia State.
