McMillan, young World War II veteran and diet kitchen helper in the mile square hospital here, was hru ♦ally attacked both verbally and physically early this year by a white non commissioned officer, with no reason for the attack being obvious. Despite the fact that, McMillan protested th (.’incident to hospital .officials and despite the fact that the assault was seen by persons both military and civilian, no re dress was made in the incident. MCMILLAN'S STOUT McMiilian. in ins protest to the chief of the Civilian Personnel Section of Fort Bragg, said: "On Wednesday, January 30th 1952, while I was working on v. ard 35 at the U. S. Hospital Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Sgt LaClHire came to where 1 was working and ’began cursing me in very bad language.
