Add slice of onion and hay leaf. Cover and heat thoroughly. Remove salmon care fully to hoi platter. Measure liquid and add milk to make one cup. Melt butter or margarine in j saucepan. Add flour and stir until well blended. Add liquid and bring to boil, stirring until thickened and smooth. Add seasonings and chopped egg. Pour sauce over heated salmon and serve.
