Ferguson became the proud parents of a baby boy and Xvlr, and Mrs. John Curtis Cobb beenme the proud parents of baby girl Lucille on April 10th, Baby boy John Philips became the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norris j Denning and Shelia Jean became the baby girl of Mr. and Mrs. Har old Wright on April 11th. April 32th was k real slow day for the stork. He left baby boy Larry Darnell for Mr. and Mrs Thomas Barnes. ART EXHIBIT The Art Department of Shaw University presented “An Eastern Garden “Exhibit" on the East Campus lawn near Estey Hall facing South Street on Wednesday, April 17th from 10 A. M. to 7:30 P. M. The exhibit featured religious pic tures painted by art students of ihe University. Miss Vic toria A: Morris Is the art in structor and adviser. FRIENDLY NEIGHBORS CLUB The Friendly Neighbors Club met Sunday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Lula Hopkins, fill East Cabar rus Street. The president. Miss Ida Jones presided over the business session. Members present were Mrs. M. Spann. Mrs. Made W:de man. Mrs. Eunice Whitley, Mrs. Bessie Mclntyre. Mrs. Rebecca Smith, Mrs. Esther Michael.
