Care and Guidance of Children”, and decided to bring the children to school at i the conclusion of the unit. The 1 aces of the children ranged from two to six years. First the children played games outside. Later, they were brought inside where they listened to stories and records. Refreshments were al so served. Everyone enjoyed themselves. The party gave the gir’s an opportunity to put Into practice some of the thing* they had learned in class. Walter Williams Directs Baptists’ Work' CHARLOTTE Reverend A Walter Williams, the efficient dir ector of Missions for the Baptists of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, came to his present posi ' lion from Atlanta, Georgia, where he served the Baptists there in a similar capacity. When Reverend Williams ac cepted the position as director of Missions for the Baptists of At lanta, he was then the successful pastor of Mount Herndon Bap tist Church, Vicksburg, Mississippi. He served this church eight year, during which time the member ship increased, many improvements were made in the physical plant, and the church debt was paid. On the basis of Reverent Wil - Hams’ experience as a liasi-ir, edu ' j cator and director o.f Missions, with ' . the co-operation of the local com mittee, he is destined to do a great • work among the Baptists of Char lotte and Mecklenburg County.
