Strassner, president of Shaw University. Subject for this sermon wns "What is the meaning of belief in God?" He emphasized that there could be no fatherhood without brotherhood, and love. Our pastor and congregation were well pleased with this sermon. Mrs. Susie Johnson of 6 North Swam Street was rushed to St. Agnes Hospital late last Sunday. She is very ill and her condition remains the same. The many families of Chavis Heights and elsewhere are in deep sympathy with the bereaved fami ly of Mrs. Ada Dark who died in Duke Hospital, June lath. Her fun eral was held from the St. Paul A. M. E. Church last Thursday. Bur ial was in Mount Hope. The many friends wish for her husband, Mr Ray Dark, who is in St..
