Joseph Schwartz drew the sen tence after waiving a July trial and being triifrt by Chief Justice Wilbert F. Crowley of Criminal court. Schwartz had earlier ad mitted the brutal and unprovoked slaying o* Alvin Palmer as he stood on a street corner awaiting , a bus.
