met here Sunday in a brief busi
ness session to take stock of the
results of the recent sth annual
convention. N. C. Negro Law En
forcement Officers Assn., which
was held here July 10-llih.
After going over the records of
the various departments and ap
praising the public relations value
of the convention, it was conclu
ded that the event was a success.
(The Eastern Police Club was
host to the convention.'.
AUXILIARY ORGANIZED
At least 18 wives of officers
were present during the recent
State convention and joined with
the women of the east in forming
a State Auxiliary to the North
Carolina Negro Law Enforcement
Officers Association with Mrs. Vi
vian Tillman of Rocky Mount as
president. (East Carolina women
had previously formed a regional
unit. Mrs. Albertine Hickman.
