You will go to Jerusalem and stay there until it comes. The spirit prevailed after hearing such a wonderful sermon, Bro. Brickie then began singing. “His eye is on the sparrow,” and everyone rejoiced. Bigelow is the pastor of the church and he has as his guest minister for the week to preach each night, Rev. J, W. Robinson of Greensboro. Rev. Robinson !* pastor of the First Baptist Churches at Gibson ville, and Stoneville. The prayer service wuis opened on Monday night by the prayer band of Apc-x and vicinity. The choir of the First Baptist will be in charge of the prayer service on Tuesday night and the deacons on Wed. night. The usher board and the missionary circle will take charge of the prayer services on Thursday and Friday nights. For the initial meeting, Rev. Robinson used as nis. text, "Come now let us reason together, saith the Lord." Isaiah 1:18. CHURCH NEWS— BURLINGTON A revival meeting is now in pro gress at Hawfield Christian Church with services being held each night beginning at 7:30 o'clock. Rev. Leander Edwards of New Bern is conducting the the exercises and led the opening hymn, "Just As I Am." Scripture was read by Mrs. Ada Harris Far rar. Prayer was given by Mr. J, R. Richardson. The welcome address was made ! by Mr. 'Walter Harris and then • Mr. Earnest, Harris introduced Mrs E. H Williams, as the guest speak er fob the occasion Mrs Williams used as her sub ject, 'Fite Importance of Good Religious, Moral, and Socia; Train ing in the Home." She pointed out that numerous crimes are being committed today showing evidence of the tack of religious, moral and social train ing in the home. She further stated that if the nations of the world would come together as the two families had done and try to reason and put i God first, here wouldn't, be so much race hatred and prejudice as we know it now. Following Mrs Williams’ dis course, Mr. George C, Harris gave a wonderful response. The offering was taken by Mr Lum Stewart and Mr James Har r'S. A closing selection was led by Mr. W. N. Beasley and the Bene*- diction was given by Mr. George Harris. A wonderful dinner was served in the basement of the church. Ev eryone enjoyd himself greatly.
