a scene of disturbance. Upon

21-year-old man charged his

with a stick on the side of his
face. These charges were deni
ed by the uncle who said that
he slapped his nephew to keep
hi»n from getting into trouble.

I said her husband knocked her over
a chair, and the man denied the
accusation He said. “Officer, this
woman wouldn’t let me use my
own phone!”
The wife remarked. "He wanted
to take a call from his other wom
an; she calls him up here all the
time.”
In the course o? conversation,
it was revealed that each party
was fed up with the other. They
mentioned divorce several times,
and the woman wanted Officer
’aker to put the man out of the
muse. Baker advised the wife to
take out a warrant if she wanted
o, since he had no power to do
this under the circumstances.
As Officer Baker departed,
he said, "Madam, keep on go
ing to church and take him
