Cole* man Ave. was hostess to the Nine and Five Club Sat, night. The liv ing room was wearing the true spirit of Christmas, with the tree beautifully decorated and laden with gifts. At this meeting it was a ga la affair for it was our annual Christmas party where each member exchanges gifts, and the celebration of Mrs. Ruth Lawrence's birthday and also Mrs. Emma Jones’ birthday. After showering them with gifts and singing “Happy birth* clay” to them, the members played po-kcena. Mrs. Mrry Marable was award ed the prize for high score and Mrs. Tiovey Ellis second prize. Each member of the club brought a garment to be distributed to a needy family and a toy to be given to SI Agnes Hospital. Alpha Kappa Alhpas Meet Alpha Kappa Alpha soros held their December meeting at the home of Soror Mamie McCauley, Tuesday evening, Dec. 9.
