Seventh Day Advent ists Organize Seven New Foreign Church Bodies WASHINGTON. D C, <ANP —The organization of seven new Church units of the Seventh-day Adventist Church v*as announced this week with the publication of the denominations 1958 official Yearbook The 475-page Yearbook, which hats all Adventist unit; in 18? countries lists the new organiza tions as; The Cambodia-Laos Mis -ion with headquarters at Phnom Penh. Camgodge; the Sidang Ad- America with headquarter* at Singapore The 'Delta Section which eom prises a section of Egypt with headquarters at Alexandra, Egypt: the Santa Catrina Mission of South American with headquarters at P-Tzimba, Nyasaland: the South Ny asa Mission with headquarters at Blantyre. Nyasaland; arid the Free State-Natal Conference of Africa with headquarters at Pietermsritz burg. Natal, Africa According to H w. Kisser, sta tistical director of the world orga nizations have been formed to keep pace with expading Church activi ties in the land represented. Mr. Klaser said that Adventist membership is currently growing fastest in Africa, '‘in Africa today there are as many believers in the Seventh-day Adventist faith ns there are in the United States.’* the official said There are currently about 510,000 Seventh-day A riven < i.-ts in the United States with •.light!v more than 1,000.000 mem bers throughout the world.
