Harris, Mrs Blanche Riv- , ers, Misses Nadeaa Williams and Augusta Harris, faculty members at the State School for the Blind and Deaf, have returned home af ter attending xhe American Asso ciation of Instructors of the Blind, which convened in Vancouver, Washington, June 22-28. From all reports the convention was both inspiring and informative. Mr. Harris. Retiring Recorder for the Social Studies Jr. and Sr. High workshop, was elected to serve as co-chairman of that group for the next biennial. Mrs. Rivers was elected to serve as Recorder of the Social Studies (Grades 4-6) workshop. Miss Willi ams participated in the Commer cial Education Workshop and Miss Harris the workshop for Shaw Learners. The next. Biennial Con vention will take piace at the Ten- j nessee School for the Blind in iB6O. Traveling bv ear, the group did extensive visiting and lour ing before and after the con vention.
