The theme for the confe rence was "A Decade of Special Education in North Carolina A Review and Look Into The Fu ture.” The purposes of the conference were: 1. To explore development and progress in ’mooting the needs of exceptional children; 2. Evalu ate services provided atypical t foildri 3 D workshop experiences, better methods and procedures for in struction; and 4. Look to the future for expected growth to meet all atypical needs. “Speech Problems of the i Space Age,” was the topic of j the panel held.
