EURE On Sunday, December 21 service at the Maple Temple Christian Church began at 11:00 o’clock. The pastor, the Reverend M. F. Booker, made his call to worship and the senior choir marched in singing, “Come Ail Ye Faithful.” After the choir took its place the pastor led us in prayer, afterwhich we softly chanted, “The Lord’s Prayer.” The first hymn of the morning rendered by the choir was ‘Praise Him. Praise Him ” The scripture lesson was read from the 2nd chapter of the Gospel according to St. Luke, verses 1-19. Deacon Richardson then led us in prayer afterwhich the mission offering was lifted. The choir sang ''Silent Night” while this was be ing done, afterwhich the offering was blessed by Deacon Holloway. The announcements and wel come to the visitors took place fol lowed by the general offering. While the offering was being lift ed the organist. Mr. William Moore, played a selection of beau tiful Christmas Carols.
