dedicate itself for the great task
ahead of it and to establish that
peace, in the world that Christ

tion, discrimination, end injustice
and pledged the unstinted support
of the militant organisation to any
agency including the AMS Zion
Church whose goal was freedom
and whose destiny la democracy.

The Fifth Annual Student Coun
cil Leadership Workshop apoueored
by the North Carolina Association
of Student Councils will ha held at
Shaw University August 19-33. IM2.

The workshop Is endorsed by the
Department of Secondary School
Principals of the North Carolina
Teachers Association and the Na
tional Association of Student Coun
cils.
The workshop is a school for
student council leaders, student
council sponsors, and administra
tors. There will be formal classes,
group discussion demonstrations,
and library research.
Objectives of the workshop are
to provide instruction for sponsors
and leaders, to promote state wide
growth of the student council, to
provide an opportunity to learn
what la recommended and what
works, to develop techniques for
more efficient leadership, end to

in the State of North Carolina. The
coveted award recognizes the state
association as one of the outstand
ing associations in the fifty state*.
