To ItrTise the CouftssIoH of Faith. Xi:w York, Dec 4. The Ih-ooklin Presbytery last night decided in favor of re vision of the Confession of Faith, and ih ir viewsareem bodied in this declaration, which was adopted: That there are in the confession some statements of doctrines which can be, nnd ought to be, amended and improved so as to bring them more in to harmony with the teach ing of the Scriptures, and with the present faith of the Presbyterian Church; and, furthermore, that there are in the confession some state ments which, being without warrant of Scripture nnd not essential to the integrity ofits system of doctrine, ought to beentirely omitted. Messenger. Two Bright Boys. They must have been some relation to each other, these little fellows, though their cute sayings are reported the one in Wide Awake and the other in Kind Words. A clergyman's bright little boy has a remarkable facul ty for quotiugScripture. One morning he spilled his cup of milk on the tablecloth, and anticipating a reproof, he dropped his head instantly and murmered, "ATy cup run neth over." A boy in Sunday school, on being told to repent the par able of the good Samaritan, thus did it: 4'A certain man journeyed from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thie ves." Then stopped. "Go on sir" said the teacher. 4Andr and stopped again. ,4And what? Go on sir." And the thieves sprang up and chok ed him," triumphantly ended the youth.
