The question of Boone's new high
school building will be among the
! thin;.-:- to he considered by the
[ board of education at its meeting
i next Moti.lay. Heretofore the local
; high school lias hcen operated in
j connection with the Normal, but the
i .vonr.a! has decided to eliminate its
j prt .1 .".rntorv department, making it
ineces-acy for the Boone district to
build its own high school, which
must bo ready for the opening oi
the next term.
The work of installing the now
fixtures in the Boone postofficc was
completed over the week-end. About
one hundred, and fifty new boxes
have been added and a parcel post
post window adds to the convenience
of the patrons and ompleys. Tht
lobby spece lias been necessarily reduced
to make room inside for tht
increased busirfess. The postofficc
now presents a very creditable ap
pearance.
