Hoey and former Gov-j ernor Cameron Morrison, two of Mr.1 Simmons' political lieutenants, to hold dissatisfied Democrats in North Carolina in line. , Horton Has Lead, of 1,957 Over McAlister in Tennessee Complete but unofficial returns from last Thursday's primary in; Tennessee gave the Democratic nomination for governor to Henry H. Horton, incumbent, and the United .States senatorial nomination to: Senator K. D. McKeliar. Latest tabulations gave GoVernor Horton a lead of 1,957 over Hill McAllister, his nearest opponent, while Senator McKeliar had overwhelmed his three op]v>ncnts by a lead of more than 40.000 over his nearest rival, Finis Garret, minority floor leader in the national house of representatives. State Senator F.. E Butler, of Mountain City, who had represented the first Tennessee district in the senate for eight terms, was defeated by Will K. Clark by a majority of Hop. The diltriot is composed of > Washington; Greene. Unicoi, c'aitei and Johnson counties.
