The vows were spoken before
an altar of white summer flow
ers and candelabra holding glob
ing tapers. Family pews were
marked with bouquets of white
satin ribbon and white flowers.
The uncle of the bride, Rev. D.
M. Edmirfteh, was the officiating
minister, using the double ring
ceremony.
Prior to the ceremony Mrs.
Lillian Swift, pianist, played
| "Adanto," "Bridal Song" from
Rustic, "Wedding Symphony"
and "Prayer" frorti Hansel and
Gretel. The traditional wedding
marches were used for the pro
cessional and recessional.
The bride and groom entered
the church together. Jack Ward
of Boone was the bridegroom's

The bride wore a navy blue
crepe street length dress with
matching accessories. She carried
a bouquet of white roses on a

two piece navy faille suit with
white accessories and a shoulder
corsage of pink rosebuds. V
The bride's mother wore a
green crepe dress with black ac
cessories and a shoulder corsage
of pink roses. The bridegroom's
mother wore a black crepe dress
with matching accessories and a
corsage of red roses.
Immediately after the cere
mony the couple left for a short
wedding trip to unknown points
of interest.
Mr*. Hodges is a graduate of
Cove Creek High School and is
a student at Appalachian State
Teachers College.
Mr. Hodges attended Boone
High School and has served three
years in the U. S. Army. He has
just returned from serving one
year in Korea.
