school band played their annual
winter concert In aur audHorhnn,
directed by Mr. J. Perry Watson.
The concert was played to boaar

the Instrumental music program

Special gueeti were the members
of the 1937 band who were able
to attend.
Miss Molly Agle, a dsnce stu
dent of Nancy F. Cook, was»fea
tured In the program In a special
number, "Singing the Blues." In
the finale, the band majorettea
presented a Black Out Baton Bal
let, which was worked out by head
majorette Linda Wey.
Speaking on behalf of the col
lege faculty was Dr. W. H. Plem
moni, president of the college.
Captain James Harper of Lenoir
represented the North Carolina
Bandmasters Association; Roy
Blanton represented the Alumni
Association; and Ted Hags man
spoke on behalf of the 1037 stu
dents.
Following the concert, a recep
tion was held in the band room
for the ipecial guests and the band
members.
Lighting effects were aupervlaed
by Bill Roas. Aaaisting in the eon
cert was Robert Love, graduate
asaistant to Mr. Wataon, and Mrs.
Patricia Honeycutt. Ushers were
the officers of the Junior band.
