around 4:40 p. m. on Sunday,
June 16, at the home following a
short illness. She was the wife of
the lat« Mr. George W Bobbins
Funeral services were bald on
Tuesday, June IS, at the Boone
Presbyterian Church. Burial fol
lowed In the Shulls Mills ceme
tery. The services were conducted
by Rev. J. K Parker, Jr.
Survivors are one daughter,
Mrs. Pearl Luttrell of Route 3,
Boone; ooe granddaughter, Mrs.
Sam Ogilvie of Wllkeaboro: one
grandson. Jack 6. Luttrell of
Chapel Hill, and two sisters. Mrs.
W. V. Calloway of New Richmond,
Ohio and Mrs. L. D. Lowe of Mon
tuzuma, N. C.
Mr*. Bobbins waa a member of
the well-know family of Shulls
Mills who formerly operated the
hotel In that section during the
period of time that the railroad
was operating. She had been in
failing health for about three
weeks following an accident of
tailing down a flight of steps in
the home.
Wins Scholarship
Miss Nancy Ilagaraan. daughter
of Mr. and Mr». J. N. Hagaman of
Norfolk, Virginia, has been award
ed a scholarship to William and
Mar]' College at Williamsbury,
Virginia. The award was given by
the Norfolk School Board. It pays
all college expe'hses for two years.
Nancy finished her senior year
at Norview High School at Nor
folk this spring. The scholarship
was earned for outstanding work.
