The revivals are being con ducted in cooperation with church et throughout the Southern Bap tist Convention and are planned on a simultaneous basis in order to reach as many people as poss ible, Mr. Gibson s?id. This year's revivals are known as "Baptist Jubilee Revivals," in preparation for the Baptist Jubilee Celebration in ISM. Some of the churches in the association that will be In revival are the First Baptist Church is Boone, Oak Grove, PerkwaviUfl. Pleasant Grove, Meat Camp, Covt Creek, Greenway, Brushy Fork, Antioch, and Mount Dale. The agency said preliminary da ta from the 1960 census show that 411,737, of 53.9 per cent, of Wash ington's 763,956 residents are Negroes. Others on the program include Jerry West, Eddie Greene, Miss Juanita Vines, Marsha Har grave, Melinda Roberts, and the Rev. J. Boyce Brooks. He recaived his education at the University of Kentucky with a B. S. Degree in Business, and the University of Kentucky School af Law with the LLB Degree. Positions he haa held Include Baptist Student Di rector at Louisiana State Univer sity 1939-1041, Director of Ra Hgious Activities at Baylor Uni versity 1041-1946, Associate in tha Department of Student Work, Bap tist Sunday School Board, Nash ville, Tennessee. Mr. Denny came to his present position January 1, 1096. He served as chairman of tha Youth Committee of the Baptist World Alliance from 1090-1059.
