Three Thousand At Lowe's Opening More than three thouund per sons visited Lowe's store during their Thursday, Friday, Saturday opening event, according to Mr. Clifford Edmisten, manager of the store. Trade was brisk for an opening crowd, he said, and Appliance Man ager Hoyt Edmisten reported un usually heavy appliance buying for an opening event. "We were de lighted with the traffic," he said, "and were surprised at the num ber of people who came to our opening for the purpose of mak ing a purchase. "Major appliances are not bought on impulie. Host purchasers re quire a budget payment plan. Some came with the mistaken impres sion that we had no such plan. Actually, of course, we have a very good budget payment plan, com parable to any good modern mer chandising firm, and we want peo ple to understand that." Mrs. Ada Miller Taken By Death Funeral services for Mr*. Ada C. Milter of Boone, Route 3 were conducted at Hopewell Methodist Church Thursday April 13 at 11:00 a. m. Mr*. Milter who had been in poor health for a number of years was visiting with her sons in Maryland when her condition be came worse and she was taken to the Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre De Grace, Maryland, where ?he died on April 10. She ia survived by the husband Joseph H. Miller of Boone, Route 2 ten hoi and one daughter, Earl. Dan and Mrs. Goldie Bryan 1 of Boone. Route 2, Glenn, Loyd, i Blaine and Leroy of Baltimore, ltd ; Wade and Dean of Bristol, Tenn.; Charles of Elkin; Arlle of Raleigh.
