The 22-year-old son, Baxter, started working with his father when he was 12. He made two dul cimers while attending Berea Foundation School, and worked in the woodcraft shop to pay for his room and board. He has just fin ished his second year at Appalach ian State Teachers College, major ing in industrial arts and crafts.
