Miss Hollingsworth graduated from Appalachian High School at Boone, N. C. While at Wake Forest, she was a member of Eta Sigma Phi honorary fraternity. Reed of Blowing Rock for a cover ed dish luncheon Wednesday, Aug ust 23, with sixteen members pre sent. Potted plants and flower ar rangements were used to decorate the house. A fountain on the sun Dorch was a center of attraction. Lunch was served on the sun porch overlooking the gorge and beautiful mountain. Mrs. John Houck of Boone gave a demonstration on drawn work. The marriage of Miss Connie Lee Houff to Mr. Rob ert Coffey Black took place Satur day, August 19, in the Second Presbyterian Church. The double ring ceremony was performed at eight o'clock in the evening by the Rev. R. L. St. Clair before an altar setting of palms, cathedral candelabra with candles, and arrangements of white gladioli and chrysanthemums. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Hampton Houff, 625 Parkview Ave., Staunton, and the late Mr. Houff. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Black, 337 Vine Street. The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. James B. Nulty, wore an original gown of white nylon and imported tudor rose lace, designed with a fitted bodice, semibateau neckline, and full skirt. Her nylon veil was secured to a crown of seed pearls and orange blossoms. She carried a cascade bouquet of white roses with stream ers and love knots. Bridesmaids were Miss Kay Dixon, Miss Joyce Harlowe, Miss Carolyn Collins, and Miss Gloria Baylor, all of Staunton. Junior bridesmaid was Linda Houff, Alexandria, cousin of the bride. The bridesmaids' gowns were identical to that of the honor at tendant except they were lilac. They carried lavender pom poms with matching n?t and ribbons. The Junior bridesmaid's dress was pink nylon net and was ballerina length with a half hat to match. She also carried a bouquet of cas caded pink pom poms with match lnf net and ribbon. Flower girls were Anita Kay Clemmer and Dana Sensabaugh. They wore street length white or ganza dresses and carried baskets of pink rose petals. Ringbearters were Cathy Troxell, cousin of the bride, and Carey Doss, both of Staunton. Mr. Edward Trott was best man. Ushers were Messrs. Robert Moyer, Richard Wilson, Kendall Bennett, and Dadid Ludwig, all of Stauntoa. The brides' mother wore a pla teau dress of slate blue, styled with a sheath skirt and lace top. It had a scooped neckline and tiny cup sleeves. With it she wore white accessories and a corsage of pink cymbidiums. The bridegroom's mother wore a mauve sheath of embroidered silk organza with matching accessories and a corsage of pirfk cymbidiums. Immediately following the cere mony, a reception was given in the church social hall by the bride's mother. Hostess was Mrs. Rawley Collins. Upon leaving for a southern wedding trip, the bride wore a black and blue check cotton two piece ensemble with black acces sories. Her corsage was of white roses. Mrs. Russell MeAl inter, aunt of the groom, presided at the re freshment table, where punch, ham biscuits, dainty sandwiches, petite fours, and mints were served. The table was lovely with an imported cut work cloth, centered by an arrangement of mixed pastel flow ers In a crystsl bowl, snd crystal candlesticks with white candles decorated in lilies of the valley. The guests were seated on the lawn and in the living room, where arrangements of mixed flowers were used. Buffet Dinner Preceding the rehearsal, Mr. and Mrs. Black, assisted by Mrs. Frances Baxeudall and Mrs. Terrell She bann served a buffet dinner to the out-of-town guests in the home of Mrs. Shebann. Arrangements of pastel flowers and floating water lily candles surrounded by phil odendron were used throughout the living room and dining rooms. Luncheon On the day of the wedding, the out-of-town guests were again honored at a beautiful luncheon at "Beverly Hills," the country estate of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Cul ton. Associate hostesses were Mrs. Terrell Shebann, Mrs. Richard Stratton, Mrs. John L. Houchins, and Mrs. Clark Rosen. Other guests included the bride-elect, Miss Con nie Houff, her mother, Mrs. Hamp ton Houff, and her grandmother, Mrs. Artie Houff. ' Among those attending the wed ding were Mrs. Baxter M.
