Heart disease today is the leading cause of death in America, and the problem of high blood pressure is one of the chief causes for heart dis ease. High blood pressure is most often seen in the middle age group of people, and the resulting heart impairment ac counts for a large number of deaths and much disability. In the past and in this day of universal enlightenment many people still assume that hyper tension (high blood pressure) is a natural result of aging. Getting old does not necessarily mean that the blood pressure goes up ? no, the problem is not entirely due to aging. High blood pressure can be found to follow kidney disease, as seen in Bright's Disease. At times, hypertension will be found to run in families as an hereditary factor, and in other cases blood pressure increase is seen in the overweight pa tient. Perhaps one of the largest groups of hypertensives in this day of universal anxiety are those who can't control their "nerves," the result is general ized spasm of the arterioles of the body and resulting increase in the blood pressure. This increase in the blood pressure, regardless of the cause, exerts an increased work load on the musculature of the heart. The pressure must go up if the heart is to force the blood through the restricted or spastic arterioles, and this in NOTICE NORTH CAROLINA WATAUGA COUNTY Under and by the virtue of the power of gale contained in a certain deed of trust execut ed by Thomas Payne and wife, Bessie Payne, dated September 26, 1960, and recorded In Deed of Trust Book 86, at Page 40, in the office of the Register of Deeds of Watauga County, North* Carolina, default having been made in the payment of the indebtedness thereby secur ed and said deed of trust being by the terms thereof subject to foreclosure, the undersigned trustee will offer for tale at public auction to the highest bidder for cash at the court house door in Boone, Watauga County, North Carolina at 12:00 o'clock noon, on the 9th day of February, 1963. the property conveyed in said deed of trust, the same lying and being in New River Township, Watauga County, North Carolina, and more particularly described as follows: TRACT ONE: LYING and be ing near the Town of Boone, and being Lots Numbers 58B. 59A in Block -'B" described and contained in a certain map made by H. A brain "stroke" oc curs when a small artery rup tures or becomes clotted or blocked with blood. Symptoms of high blood pres sure vary. In some, no symp toms are present at all; in oth ers, there may be headaches, dizziness, full-feeling in the head, fatigue, or general aches and pains. If you should have any of these symptoms it does not necessarily mean that hyper tension is present ? you should see your family doctor. He can examine you and if the hyper tension is your problem, proper treatment can be started, and if you follow your doctor's advice carefully you can certainly count on living a long. normal life. Notes And Comments Then there are the people who like jokei ? on the other fellow. Not all the comic characters are to be found in the comic books. There are people in the world who think they can argne with electricity. The business expert is usu ally able to put most of his work on the office help.
