Society Miss Sherwood Weds Mr. Osborne MRS. HERBERT NELSON OSBORNE, JR. Miss Linda Lee Sherwood be came the bride of Mr. Herbert Nelson Osborne, Jr., Saturday, April 13, at 2:30 p. m., at the Cove Creek Baptist Church, Sherwood, N. C. Officiating was the pastor, the Rev. Ernest Blankenship. Miss Barbara Erwin, organist, of Greenville, S. C., and Mr. Bill Janius, soloist and minister of music at Pentle Street Bap tist Church in Greenville, pre sented the wedding music. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Gordon Sherwood of Sugar Grove. She is a graduate of Cove Creek High School, Lees-McRae Col lege and Carson-Newman Col lege and is now teaching in the Archibald D. Murphy Ele mentary School in Greensboro. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Osborne of Greenville, S. C., is a graduate of Green ville High School, attended Mars Hill College and served in the U. S. Air Force. He is associ ated with Fuller Brush '66.' in Greensboro. Given in marriage by her fa ther, the bride wore a gown of white peau de sot with long sleeves, basque waist and the scooped neckline was embroid ered with crystal beads, sequins and pearls. The full gathered skirt ended in a chapel train. Her veil of imported illusion was attached to a triple crown of tulle petals centered with seed pearls, and she carried a white Bible topped with a yel low throated orchid. Mrs. Henry Carter of Win ston-Salem wai matron of honor. She wore a dress of Iridescent yellow and carried a bouquet of yellow carnations. Mr, Nelson, Sr., wai best man and ushers were Joseph Sher wood and Henry Carter. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Sherwood wore a dress of ice blue silk linen with match ing accessories, and the bride groom's mother chose a dress of pink wool with matching acces sories. Both wore a corsage of baby orchids. The bride and groom receiv ed guests in the foyer of the church after the ceremony, and the couple are now residing at 1311 Spring Garden Street in Greensboro following a short wedding trip through the moun tains of North Carolina. A cake cutting was given by the ladies of Cove Creek Bap tist Church in the reception room Friday night. Attending were members of the wedding party and the immediate family. Junior Woman's Club Meeting The Boone Junior Women's Club met at the home of Mrs. Toni Chipman, Woodland Drive, for the April meeting. Mrs. Jan Schaefer was the co-hostess. The meeting was opened with the members repeating the club collect. The president, Mrs. Dot Barker, welcomed the guests: Mrs. Irene Stout, Mrs. W. A.
