A seed never comes true to the flower from which it drops. This is because the bees, whteh transmit the pollen, may have picked it up from any plant. You will obtain the best re sults from seed planting if you will plant the seeds as soon as they are ripe. This will be around the 18th of August in most sections. Place the seed in the sun for a few days be fore planting The pods will open and should be planted im mediately in a mixture of peat and a small amount of rich, black dirt Keep them damp and exposed to half day sun. The seeds will germinate in six to ten weeks. In one year, will be about six inches tall. At this time the plants can be removed to plant beds. Before planting, cut the root sept08& back nearly to the sed. Be sure to feed the plants. Use your favorite camellia fer tilizer and continue to give this plahta plenty of water. There is some indication that the plants will grow more rap ly if tome type of division be tween each plant is set up. Moat of the plants will blood (luring their third vear, on their own if they are well taken par* of. It is possible to force them to bloom by scoring the lower limbs with a knife.
