Letters To
School Prayer
Issue Aids Reds
Dear Mr. Editor,
According to a bulletin by
the United State* Department
of Agriculture, the Russians,
have made it a criminal o f
fenae to neglect farm machin
ery. This drastic action isn't
hard to understand since the
machinery, land and crops all
belong to the State. American
farmers learned years ago to
neglect their farm machinery
was an act against their eco
nomy.
"By the sweat ol Thy Brow
Thou Shalt Eat Bread". Of
course the Russians would not
know anything about that, but
the discontinuance of Bible
reading and prayer in our
schools is right up their alley.
Why not amend the 1st am
mendment to the Constitution
of the United States by adding
Church and State shall not mix
beyond Bible reading and pray
er in our schools. And speaking
of schools remember the words
of Booker T. Washington, "Soc
ially we are divided as the fing
ers, but economically we are
as the hand."
