Have been intending to tell you for the put two weeks that Martha and Bob Leak have moved to their new home to the Myers Park section o i Charlotte Martha and their eons, Bobby and Council!, bad haen here six week* while Bob found the houae, and all are mighty well pleaaed with it. Bob ia with a mortgage loan company to Charlotte and Bob by it attending nuriery school to the Episcopal church near their home. I'm (till waiting for a cake recipe Martha pro mised me. It sounded good and easy and I know you would like to have it, also. Recently Mr. W. C. Greene of Lax on brought us two pale blue eggs. The amazing thing about them ia that the hens laid the eggs this color. I know yeu are doubting this, but it's a fact. Mr. Greene says the chicken originated in Europe. The eggs have created a lot of interest and we are glad to have the curios around. Jane, it was ever so good to have you and Art home for a visit Saturday and half the day Sunday. Entirely too short a visit, but better than nothing. Come again soon as possible. Will be glad when you are near er. Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Dimmette, owners of Panorama Estates Just off the Parkway atop high mountains near Boone and Blowing Rock, called Sunday and invited your daddy and me to come see their beautiful view. We went about 4 p. m. and surely there is no such view anywhere in this section of the country. No truer words were ever written, Rachel, than those you used to describe the beauty of Panorama in the ads you did for Mr. Dimmette this summer. A wonderful part of the visit Included a tour of the house the Dimmettes are building to a wooded area of their develop ment, which already has street lights and paved roads. It is go ing to be an almost perfect house. The view from any win dow is extraordinary, and the floor plan is something I have dreamed about for years. Can't wait to see the furniture to place and a fire burning in the fire place on a day like yester day. The Dimmettes give ui some paniiee which we are thorough ly enjoying. Must be some min erals in that soil that we don't have down here. Can't ever re member having pansiea bloom ing past the middle of July. And, you should have seen their dahlias! Every possible color and fresh as summer time. It was a good visit and we won't wait long to go back. One could not sing the blues of the world from up there . . . just. look down on both.
