'Accredited School t Now At Merry Hit New Rooms Expected to Be Ready For Open ing of School Merry Hill will this year have an accredited high school for the first . time in its history. This announce ment was made following a recent re-, organization by which ten teachers 1 will be employed instead of six as has been the case since 1934. A new \home economics room and a lunch f room is being added to the building, Which it is hoped will be completed) by the time school opens on Septem ber 12. The list of teachers who will serve for the coming year are: First Grade, Gertha Farlowe, of Guilford College. j* Second grade, Mary Pruden, of Windsor. Third grade, Celia Garren, of Hen dersonville. Fourth grade, Mittie Phelps, of Jlerry Hill. , Wl Fifth and Sixth grades, Mane Rid dick, of Hobbsville. Seventh grade, Ruth Hollowell, of Hertford. Commercial Course, Hazel Herrmg, . of Goldsboro. Home Economics, Frances Maness, of Buies Creek. History and Science, Grady Love, of Wingate. He will also teach Eng lish and French. J. A. Miss Kitty Perry has returned from Richmond, Va., where she visit ed her brother, Josiah Perry, and Mrs. Perry. Misses Elizabeth, Lucy Myers and Syble White are visiting in Washing ton, D. C., and Fredericksburg, Va. Mrs.,, Otis Ellis left Monday to visit her parents in West "Virginia. , Mrs. Joseph Hollowell and two daughters, of Sunbury, spent Sunday night with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Byrum. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Jordan and Oliver, Jr., were guests of ®Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Byrum Monday evening. Mrs. Cotter Bright White and her daughter, Novella, visited Mrs. J. S. Turner Thursday morning.
