A loving one from us is gone, A voice we loved is stilled His place is vacant in our home Which never can be filled. We cannot, Lord, Thy purpose see, But all is well that is done by Thee, The trail is hard, but we’ll not complain, But trust in God \,o meet again. The flowers we place upon his grave May wither and decay, But the love for you who sleeps Shall never fade away. Joyful be thy rest, dear grandfather, It’s sweet to breathe your name, In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. —A granddaughter, Beaulah V. Lane.
