Dr. Tedder Begins Dog Vaccination On Monday, May 1 Law Requires Every Dog In County to Be Treated COSTS 50 CENTS t Schedule Presented For Information of Dog Owners On Monday, May 1, Dr. P. W. Tedder will begin his schedule of vaccinating dogs in Chowan County against rabies. This year, Dr. Ted der, a licensed veterinarian, has charge of this work, which is com pulsory, throughout the entire coun ty and he asks for full cooperation of dog owners so that the purpose of the law will be fulfilled. The law requires all dogs to be vaccinated, the price for which is 50 cents, and any dogs not so treated are subject to be killed by the sheriff. Dr. Tedder is thoroughly familiar with the work and in emphasizing its importance says that by the simple act of vaccinating a dog, a human life may be saved. Hie schedule as announced by Dr. Tedder, follows: First Township (Edentom) May 1, from 8 a.m. until 2:45 p. m., dogs in town may jje brought to his hospital at Griffin’s stables. May 1, 3 p. m. to 4 p. m., at George Goodwin’s store. May 1, 5 p. m. to 6 p. m., at Har rell’s store _in Cowpen Neck. Second Township May 2, 8 a. m. to 10:30 a. m., at Peele’s store at Rocky Hock. May 2, 10:30 a. m. to 12:30 p. m., Hollowell’s store at Cross Roads. May 2, 1:30 p. m. to 4 p. m., at L. W. Belch’s store at Center Hill. Third Township May 3, Ba. m. to 11:30 a. m., at! SENIORS ENTERTAINED The Seniors of Merry Hill High School were delightfully entertained Friday evening by Professor and Mrs. J. A. Williams at their lovely! country home.
