The Missionary Society of Scupper
non Christian Church met at the
home of Mrs. H. W. Norman, Cres
well, Wednesday afternoon, with six
teen members present.
Mrs. L. B. Bennett, president, con
ducted the devotionals and presided
during the business session. Mrs. J.
W. Spruill, Mrs. E. Pritchett and
Mrs. Earl Midgette gave interesting
and instructive talks on the following
respective topics: An Evangelistic
Camp Among Untouchables; The
Caste System of India, and Working
Among the Depressed Classes in In
dia. The Rev. L. B. Bennett pro
nounced the benediction.
A short meeting of the Ladies’ Aid
followed the Mission Study. At this
time plans were made to send a re
presentative to Montreat to the
Youths Conference.
He hostess served a salad plate.
MOTHER’S DAY SERVICES AT
CHRIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH
A special Mothers’ Day service
will be held at Christ Episcopal
Church, Creswell, Sunday evening
with the rector, the Rev. Wood
Gaither, in charge. An invitation is
extended to the public.

their home in Edenton, where he is
