PAGE EIGHT C.B. Mooney, Jr. Hew Sachem Os Red Men Chowan Tribe Elects Of ficers at Meeting: on | Monday Night Officers were elected by Chowan TYibe, No. 12, I. O. R. M„ at the meeting held Monday night, when C. B. Mooney, Jr., was promoted to iSa chem, succeeding William Israel, who will be prophet of the Tribe for the next six months. Other officers elected were Erie Haste, senior saga more; Wesley Chesson, junior sage more; Raleigh Hollowell, chief of re cords; Arthur Hollowed, collector of wampum; W. J. Daniels, assistant collector of wampum, and J. Edwin Bufflap, keeper of wampum. These officers, together with the appointed group, will be installed at next Monday night’s meeting. Theatre Adds Show Hours Over Holidays In order to accommodate visitors over the Christmas holiday, the Tay-j lor Theatre will run continuous shows from 3:15 in the afternoon today ] (Thursday) and Friday instead ofj only one afternoon show. On Satur-j day the show will begin at 1:30 and' run continuously. Manager Jimmy Earnhardt has also I arranged a midnight show on New j Year’s Eve, which is expected to at- j tract a large crowd. • ——— PEANUT REPORT j Virginia-North Carolina Section: i Prices continue to advance on both j farmers’ stock and shelled and clean ed goods, with an active demand es- j pecially for finished goods. Picking of the crop has been practically com pleted, except for small lots in scat tered areas.
