Funeral Friday For
Mrs. Sarah Saunders
Funeral si rvices were held at 2hit)
o’clock Friday afternoon in the Rocky
Hock Baptist Church for Mrs. Sarah
Chappell Saunders, 78, who died at
her home Thursday afternoon. The
services were conducted by the Rev.
W. C. Francis, pastor of the church.
The wife of the late .1. 0. Saun
ders, deceased is survived by four
sons, J. C. Saunders. ,hv of Tyner;
J. H. Saunders, of Norfolk; W. H.
Saunders and Percy Saunders of
Edenton; and three daughters, Mrs.
W. K. Bunch, Mrs. Billie Belle
Parks and Mrs. Noah .1. Goodwin,
all of Kdenton.

Methodist Ministers
At Annual Conference!
The Rev. and Mrs. H. Freo Surratt I
left early Wednesday for Henderson, I
where Mr. Surratt will attend the
annual Methodist Conference. At a
meeting of the fourth quarterly con-'
ference of the Edenton and Windsor';
Churches held in Windsor Sunday 1

quests for going back to the pre-war!

At Hertford the Rev. B. C Reavis
I has served four years, while the Rev.
J, D. Cranford has been pastor of
the Winfall Church for seven years.
At Sunday night’s meeting three
