PAGE EIGHT Wates-GHlam Vows Spoken In Windsor Impressive Ceremony In St. Thomas Episco pal Cljurch Miss Margaret Manning Gillam, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gillam of Windsor, and Charles Pad dock Wales, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Paddock Wales of Edenton, were married in a formal ceremony in St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Windsor Thursday afternoon at 4:3U o’clock. The Rev. J. H. Hamilton per formed the ceremony. Before and during the ceremony Mrs. Isaac T. Smith, organist, presented a program of/nUptial music. . Mrs. John Ridgely Porter, Jr., of Charlottesville, Va., was matron of honor for her cousin. L. ■ Sanders of Washington, D. C. i All of the bride’s attendants were i gowned alike in white moire taffeta made with basque bodices and bouff- I ant skirts embellished with bustle . bows. They carried arm bouquets of i roses, gladioli and daisies in Ameri can beauty shades, tied with match ing bows of white satin ribbon. They wore headbands of flowers in Ameri can beauty shades. John Augustus Moore, Jr., of Eden ton was best man and the ushers were Frank M. Holmes and David Warren of Edenton, R. G. S. Davis of Henderson and Thomas Gillam 111 of Windsor, brother of the bride. The bride’s mother was attired in a peacock blue crepe gown, with black accessories and wore a corsage of pink roses. The bridegroom’s mother wore a gown of bleck crepe with a white lace bodice. Her accessories were black and her flowers were gar denias. Mrs. John Davis Shaw of Rich mond was the mistress of ceremonies. After the wedding a reception was given in the home of the bride’s par ents. Mrs. Pauline Gillam of Wind sor presided at the front door. Others assisting in the various rooms were Mrs. C. 0. Barcley of Portsmouth, Mrs. C. A. Ball of Williamsburg, Va., Mrs. P. R. Gillam and Mrs. S. W. Kenney of Windsor. Those serving were the Misses Elizabeth Trafton Ball of Williamsburg, Anne Gillam, Cecelia Anne Castellow, Mrs. Uhiah Coulbourn, Mrs. C. B.
