Contributions For Cancer Begin To Reach Mrs. Parrish \ Drive For Funds Will Gose In Chowan April 30 Though very few reports have been made to Mrs. Ralph Parrish, com mander of the cancer drive in Chowan County, early this week she reported having received about $135 toward the SBOO quota for the county. The above amount came from the Edenton Cotton Mill and the mill vil lage as well as a $25 individual con tribution, so that Mrs. Parrish says what money has been received has j little bearing on the success of the various canvassers. She is very | anxious, however, for the county to meet its quota and in fact, due to the prevalence of so much cancer and the worthiness of the appeal, she is hope ful that ■ the quota will be oversub scribed. In event any person who desires to make a contribution has not been can vassed, Mrs. Parrish, as Vvell as Miss Rebecca Colwell, county chairman, will be delighted to receive contribu tions in any amount. , Mrs. (Parrish says the drive will end on April 30, so that all canvassers are urged to have their final reports in by that time.
