He was clad in his pajamas with the motor of his car running, death resulting from the carbon monoxide fumes. Mrs. Oscar Elliott, aunt of the de ceased, became alarmed when Bond did not report for breakfast or for work at- the Elliott Company, so she asked Frank Elliott and William Wells' to go to the house and see if the young | man was ill. Upon arrival at thej home Elliott and Wells found the doors j to the house and garage locked but: heard the automobije engine running. Deceased was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William M. Bond. He was educated in Colorado, where his parents lived prior to 1916, when they returned to Edenton to live. Funeral services were held at the graveside in Beaver Hill Cemetery Friday morning at 11 o’clock. The Rev. Harold W. Gilmer, rector of St. I Paul’s Episcopal Church, officiated. Pallbearers were Frank Elliott, Wil liam Wells, Percy Satterfield, Harry McMullan, Jr., Jack Pruden and Ben Koonce of Hertford.
