The Rev. Paul E. Lemons, pastor of
Warwick Baptist Church, announces

for the Chowan Association will be
observed February 19-23, 'Five visit
ing- speakers will conduct meetings
in the Edenton Baptist Church and in
the Gaitesville Church.

are former missionaries to China; Mr.
Bradley is a missionary of Eastern
Nort)h Carolina and Ray is secretary
of student work. (Mr. Bazemore is
connected with the Recorder.

Finishes Army (Course
Corporal Aubrey E. Harrell, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Harrell, Route
three, has recently completed an eight
weeks cycle with the Automotive
Maintenance School at Fort Jackson,
South Carolina.
Prior to his induction into the army
at Edenton, on November 29, 1950,
Cpl. Harrell attended North Carolina
State College at Raleigh, N. C.
This course was the general nam
tenance and operational repairs to
many types of Army vehicles and
trains personnel to be competent gen
eral automotive mechanics.
The Automotive Maintenance School
is part of the Specialists Training
Regiment of the famed Bth Infantry
Division, Fort Jackson, S. C.

'Carolina has announced the quota for
enlistment in the Marine Corps is un
limited.
To be qualified for enlistment a man
must be between the ages of 17 to 29,
of good moral character and must be
able to pass the mental and physical
examinations.
Ex-Marines, who held the rank of
Sergeant or below at time of dis
charge may now re-enlist in the Ma
rine Corps and retain their rank,

: Corps Service may enlist in the Ma.
| rine Corps Reserve and be assigned to
