Chowan Coun ty is very forunate in being located in one of the three fastest growing timber sections of the nation, although very few farmers are taking advan -1 tage of this fact. "Pine tree seedlings are available from the State Nursery and can be i set at the rate of 1,000 per acre. In about 15 yeans these trees will be ! large enough for thinning and net stakes can be sold, and possibly some pulpwood also.
